AppleScript events lets you execute subroutines of AppleScript applets from DynRisk during a simulation, and have the results of these scripts returned back to DynRisk.
Since AppleScript applets can communicate with any scriptable application, such applets can act as links between DynRisk and any scriptable application. In fact AppleScript events can do everything that the other events can do, and much more. The only catch is that you must write the AppleScripts for doing it yourself. Thus, you should of course use the specially designed events to communicate with DynRisk, DynLP, MS Excel etc. If you need to communicate with some other application, however, try using AppleScript events.
